First day in the mountains and it was not a disappointment.  Some fantastic fish to be had everywhere we went really.

Started the day at Hiroi Seiji who had some incredible fish as always, condition was great too. Then we moved on up the mountains and called in at Torazo who also had some great Koi, I am hoping to photograph some very very special Koi there tomorrow if possible. Moved on up to Yozaimon, not as many Koi as others, they seemed to have done very well this year. Then a quick pop in at Shintaro, had a quick look round but will be spending more time there the coming week. Headed up to see Yagenji who were bowling fish like crazy as always, I dont know how they do it day in day out. Kazuto…not much can be said about his Koi, they were amazing as always and huge. He has a Sanke at 90cm which is just fantastic. Will be getting vids later in the week. Shot down to Nagashima, he has a new Koi house so had a look in, Koi were good. Hirasawa had some excellent fish as always, need to go back..and back…and back… Isa was next on the list, some great Koi. His Nisai which looked amazing will be further inspected on Monday, so dont worry the people waiting for Isa Showa

I have probably missed a few out, been a pretty full on day! More to come!

Arrived at the hotel just after 9pm in Japan, in total it has been 24 hours start to finish. Was great to go on the new Airbus A380 though, a superb plane, highly recommended.

I will set up my equipment then go and meet up with a few friends in Nomole which is a local place where many Koi people meet up, there will always be someone talking Koi in there.

Early start in the morning, have a relatively short stay and quite a few orders need finding, sending out and hoping the client likes the fish offered. So tomorrow will be round the mountains having a look more than anything, see what’s on offer. Will get some pictures for the sites and test the video is up and running etc. Ill update on facebook and Twitter too.

So tomorrow look forward to pics from Yamamatsu, Shintaro, Yagenji, Kazuto, Torazo and loads more! Any requests please let me know.

Will be leaving for the airport mid morning. Then with a brief stop over in Dubai onward to Narita. A quick jump onto the Narita Express then onto the bullit train to the mountains. I am meeting a few people up there in the evening so should be able to relax before shooting up the mountains the following morning!

I have been told there are loads of good fish to be had so fingers crossed! Make sure you sign up to the forums too, will be adding some stuff on that as well.
